You tape the tissue paper onto regular copy paper and run it through your printer. I like the way sepia photos look, but you can use color photos as well. Then, you trim the image and using Mod Podge and a foam brush, adhere it to the tile with several coats. Before applying the Mod Podge however, you can stamp an image using a Staz-On pad (solvent based and used to stamp on nonporous surfaces) as I did with the greeting I used. I added some "feet", little round sticky-on-one-side pads, to the corners of the tile before putting it on my counter. These would make great coasters!
The picture has a little bit of a glare on it, but I used a photo of my husband and daughter walking on the beach together from our trip to California in 2007 at the spot where we were married. So sweet!

A Stamper In the Making!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SkwOqFidppI/AAAAAAAAAPw/Bq3RDTIsc8U/s320/DSCN2254.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353670173240698514" />
While at Ikea, I purchased this awesome, customizable desk and pretty pink office chair for my daughter! I haven't gotten rid of hardly anything--I am too attached--so I've needed to find a way to store some of my goodies, especially now that I have entered the world of die cuts as well!
Here are just a few pix showing how I organize some of my items.
First off, I keep my Sizzlits and Embosslits in a Notebook inserted into baseball card sleeves. They are perfect because I can flip them over and see what they look like through the sleeve! I also keep my Die Cut instructions (some of them contain useful information on assembly and dimensions) in the same notebook. I have some sleeves that are divided into four pockets which are ridiculously perfect for storing Embossing Folders. For now, my larger dies fit nicely in a plastic roller drawer.
My punches started to take over my shelves and desk! I had no idea what to do with them until I saw this great idea online! Ikea (which just happened to open in Charlotte) sells these amazing dowels! They also sell these amazing baskets to hang on them! Best of all, they are AMAZINGLY inexpensive! In fact, after looking at the new Idea Book & Catalog, I know I'll need to purchase another to hold the new punches I am planning on buying!
I am still working on organization, but let me tell you, Ikea is a great place to start if you have one near you.

B is for Baby!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SkwJFR6s2jI/AAAAAAAAAPA/wRUG9cS6Qik/s320/DSCN2017.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353664043350284850" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SkwJFFPKoOI/AAAAAAAAAO4/FKDLYHo3pBU/s320/DSCN2000.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353664039946461410" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SkwJEhJ-dvI/AAAAAAAAAOw/QGyGTKdUWuo/s320/DSCN2001.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353664030261016306" />
I helped throw a shower for a friend of mine and used the awesome Stampin' Up! exclusive Pennant die to make a "Baby" banner! She was very excited about having a girl so we definitely had to make it pink!
I die cut the pennant pieces and then ran them through the Big Shot again with a Texturz Plate to give them an embossed feel and look. I sponged them with Whisper White Craft Ink to bring the designs out. Then I used the Scallop Circle Punch and a die cut alphabet to dress them up. I used white eyelets and ribbon to connect the pennant pieces and--voila!--we had a Baby Banner! (As always, if you click on a picture, you can see it closeup and really see the texture!)
I am also including a picture of the favors that I made with Pink and White Chocolate on Pretzel rods! Whew--am I behind?! =o)
Anyway, the cute little mermaid is a stamp sold by The Greeting Farm--Mermaid Anya. I usually only use Stampin' Up! products but couldn't resist this little cutie pie!
To make the ocean, I ran a piece of Tempting Turquoise through my Big Shot machine with the Top Note die, then ran the same piece again in a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder to make the bubbles for the ocean. I used a pair of scallop edge scissors to cut the Top Note in half and to make it look more ocean-y. I stamped the mermaid and colored her in with Stampin' Write markers. Then, I used my Versamarker to draw some accent lines where I then poured some Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder over to heat. (The glitter is a little difficult to see in the photo but really stands out in person!) The greeting is a rub-on, and the sun is made from the Scallop Circle Punch and a Circle Punch (in Summer Sun and Only Orange). I used Confetti White Cardstock as it has specks in it which make it look kind of like sand.

Where have I been?

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SkwCudPWK-I/AAAAAAAAAOY/7PrCZgVcf3M/s320/DSCN2218.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5353657054182910946" />
Wow! We used Textured Designer Series Paper, the Sweet Stems Embosslit for the flower (love these embosslits that not only emboss but cut out your image!), and the Texturz Polka Dot Embossing Template for the polka dots behind the embosslit. We sponged Craft Whisper White Ink over the polks dots to make them stand out. We finished it off with a greeting punched out with the Word Window Punch and some White Grosgrain Ribbon! The colors we used were Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, and Kraft. Pretty and Elegant!

Oh, and don't forget to check out the links to the right for the brand new Catalogs! It is so beautiful and so soft and SO easy to use!
To make this card, I tore the Almost Artichoke cardstock in the background and stamped it with the same stamp that I used for the leaves. (The tree and the leaves are two separate stamps.) The actual card itself is Chocolate Chip cardstock. I stamped the tree on Naturals White cardstock. This set has all kinds of tree "accessories" to add. I used the tire swing, the Cardinal, and the butterflies. The greeting I used was from Trendy Trees.
This card came out so pretty yet it is so simple and was made so quickly!

Mini Square Cards

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SYkC7H8mZPI/AAAAAAAAANg/mgqJavTS480/s400/DSCN2027.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298769651346859250" />
I was playing with my new stamps today and decided to make some little square cards. So...I copied the design for the card but instead of stamping the dice in the scallop circle, I used the button die to make two number two dice!!! =o)
I used the new Jackpot Designer Paper, the new Game Night Stamp Set, some Real Red grosgrain ribbon, Very Vanilla cardstock, Real Red carstock, and Basic Black cardstock--oh, and my favorite part--the Buttons #5 die cut! The greeting is embossed and is from the Sincere Salutations Stamp Set.
Roll them bones, baby! =o)

My Pretty Butterfly!

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SYjEsEUfDMI/AAAAAAAAANQ/z7n9ElifPDM/s400/DSCN2009.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5298701222954339522" />
So I LOVE this new Designer Series Paper!!!
I used some of my new goodies to make this card! The Texturz Plates, Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1, was used for the Small Polka Dot background on the Kraft Cardstock, the Parisian Breeze Specialty Paper (textured patterned paper) was used for the butterflies, the Stampin' Up! Beautiful Butterflies was the die cut used for the butterflies, and the Pretties Kit provided the pin and beads for the butterfly's body. The top layer of the butterfly is only adhered in the middle so it appears as though it is "flapping". I used a Chocolate Chip rub-on for the greeting--they work great on textured paper! I had so much fun making this sweet card! Hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed making it! =o)

I love my new toys!!!

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SX_HBa3tfyI/AAAAAAAAANE/XAf5KCIx_fc/s400/DSCN1994.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5296170514017779490" />
<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SX_HBIJmywI/AAAAAAAAAM8/JIKvxfxmso0/s400/DSCN1996.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5296170508992563970" />
So I ordered some new goodies from Stampin' Up! the DAY the new catalog was released! I was so excited, and I wanted to have some new items to show my Stamp Club next month!
I made this card using the NEW Circle Scissors Plus and Glass Mat, the NEW exclusive Stampin' Up! Big Bold Cupcakes Die Cut, the NEW Texturz Plate Stampin' Up! Background 1, and the NEW beautiful textured patterned cardstock, Parisian Breeze Specialty, for the bottom of the cupcake. The colors I used were Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, and Kraft cardstock. I stamped the greeting Birthday Hugs & Wishes on the inside. To make the circular card, I folded some cardstock and then cut a circle out of it on the fold using the Circle Scissors Plus. I wanted to add some chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon to the card at the top, but I really just felt like it would have taken away attention from the cute l'il cupcake. I LOVE all of my new goodies!!! Stay tuned for more fun samples! =o)

a little Something for you

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SXohlAxdglI/AAAAAAAAAMs/jR5xU7kk9Xc/s400/DSCN1983.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5294581231673770578" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SXohkcl6ygI/AAAAAAAAAMk/3_E3V1J0FCk/s400/DSCN1984.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5294581221961681410" />
I got this new Sale-a-Bration set, Yummy, and was thinking of how I could use it. The "a little Something for you" stamp fits perfectly on the Top Note die--which we all know is my all time FAVORITE die!!--so I used the template from this blog post: December Stamp Club Projects! and just turned it the other direction!
I made this card for a very dear friend back in California. I used the new Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper, Rose Red and Cameo Coral cardstock (and Kiwi Kiss for the leaf), and the Stampin' Up! exclusive die, Birds & Blooms. I threw some white grosgrain ribbon on there, popped an eyelet on the flower, and voila! I was done! We used the new Stampin' Up! Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper, Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, and Cameo Coral cardstock. The greeting is from the retiring set, Wonderful Words.
The second project we made was a "Love" card--actually my hubby's Valentine's Day card! We used a large circle punch, scallop punch, and again--my favorite die cut, the Top Note! We used the Big Shot die, Join in the Cheer, for the word "Love". Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red (In Colors) were the colors we used. The little man is from the All in the Family set. We colored him in with Stampin' Write Markers.

It's a Girl!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SWqZRG0nlVI/AAAAAAAAAME/TIpc92B_1rg/s400/DSCN1938.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5290209231468205394" />
One of my best friends is having a Baby Girl next month, so I volunteered to stamp her Baby Shower invitations! I used Rose Romance (a retired SU! color) and Rose Red cardstock. The "rattle" was very east to make! I used a large circle punch and the scallop circle punch for the top of the rattle, the word window punch for the handle, and two smaller circle punches for the part where the baby holds on to. To complete the rattle, I added a bit of white grosgrain ribbon to the handle! The Baby was stamped from the All in the Family set! I love the look of the faux clipboard! We used the Spiral Punch, the Round Tab Punch, the Corner Rounder Punch,and the 1/16" hole punch (for the brads). The background was created using the Watercolor Stampin' Around wheel in Pixie Pink ink on Pixie Pink Paper. To make the clipboard, we used Close to Cocoa paper stamped with the Canvas Background Stamp and rounded the corners with the Corner Rounder Punch. The Round Tab Punch was used to punch out the top of the clipboard. We used regular notebook paper for the greeting. Gold brads finished the look of the clipboard! We had so much fun! It was a great party!

The first project we made was a "gift card holder" card. We used Real Red, Chocolate Chip, and Kiwi Kiss cardstock and Ski Slope Designer Series Paper. We also used the top note die, the 1/4" punch for the faux bow using Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, and the Sincere Salutations Stamp Set.

The second project uses the Cheers to You Stamp Set. We used Double Stitched 1" Rose Red Grosgrain Ribbon and Rose Red and Chocolate Chip cardstock. We colored in the fruity drink with Stampin' Write markers and glittered it up with a Versamarker and Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder. The greeting is from the Sincere Salutations Stamp Set.

ANOTHER Top Note Treat Box!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SUf5rusr-OI/AAAAAAAAALE/_qqFfTKg9Dk/s400/DSCN1650.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280463617780349154" />
So I made another one of these adorable treat boxes and popped a gift card in the inside! Good Times set.

Thinking of You

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/STXfgSyNiII/AAAAAAAAAK0/lcvx23T8vDU/s400/DSCN1601.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5275368284425652354" />
I haven't stamped much in these last few days with the holidays being here and all. In fact, it was very strange not having my Father here to celebrate with us. We started a new tradition this year--we wrote down the things we are thankful for and put them in a Blessings Jar. After dinner, we went around the table reading what everyone wrote. One that I wrote said, "I am thankful for memories of my Dad." That is definitely the truth...

Anyway, I made this card to send to my brother, Dean, who lives in Salem, MA. I wanted him to know that I was thinking of him as I know this is a hard time for him as well. I am truly hoping he makes it down to celebrate the holidays with us this month. I would love for us to be together as a family again. Seeing him in September was wonderful (although the circumstances for him being here obviously were not).

As for the card, I just can't seem to get ENOUGH of this Top Note die cut!!! I LOVE it! I used Urban Garden designer series paper, and since I didn't have matching ribbon, I layered some Kiwi Kiss cardstock underneath some sheer thin white organdy ribbon to add a soft touch (which is difficult to see although you can see it better if you click on it to enlarge it). I rounded the corners on the greeting (from Sincere Salutations) to soften it up and match it to the die cut.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Never forget to count your blessings.

Top Note Book Treat Box

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SSyymOD45uI/AAAAAAAAAKs/HWcv7Dx--jU/s400/DSCN1568.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272785633423189730" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SSyylyYDzJI/AAAAAAAAAKk/F7GT2T4_Qyw/s400/DSCN1562+-+Copy.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272785625991597202" />
I LOVED this idea of using the Top Note die to make a treat box! You can put a gift card in here or even a yummy little treat!

For my box, I used the Top Note and Join in the Cheer dies (both Stampin' Up! exclusives!). I also used Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Kraft, and Vanilla cardstock. I ran some Chocolate Chip cardstock through the crimper and cut it in strips for the filler inside the box. I FINALLY used my Crop-a-dile (Dawn would be SO proud of me!!!) for the eyelet holes and eyelets and Chocolate Chip Tafetta Ribbon to tie the box closed. Oh, and Sticky Strip is an absolute MUST!

I'd like to take credit for this idea, but I didn't make it up. I CASED it from the following blog:
schwooo! by stampinangie
There is a great and easy-to-follow tutorial on there.

Thanks for looking!

Holiday Door Hanger

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SSn-VUtm2xI/AAAAAAAAAKc/DtLRZb2SKLA/s400/DSCN1562.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272024481104583442" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SSn-UwY0bjI/AAAAAAAAAKU/EEskwysO2-0/s400/DSCN1563.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5272024471353716274" />
So tonight I went to have coffee with my daughter and my neighbor and her daughter. After, we strolled on over to Swoozie's. Well, while I was there I saw this cute door hanger that was in the same shape as Stampin' Up!'s Top Note die! I was instantly inspired! So...tonight I made this little creation! I adhered Real Red cardstock to both sides of a piece of cardboard to make it sturdier and cut out a Top Note. Then I cut another Top Note using my Ski Slope Designer Series Paper. I made the top of the hat with one of the flowers from the Birds & Blooms die cut. The white trim on the hat was made using the scallop edge punch on both sides. The red hat was cut freehand. I added the word "Joy" from Stampin' Up!'s Join in the Cheer die. I put some Real Red eyelets at the top, tied some hemp on, and then it was ready to go! I was thinking you could even make a baby door hanger--or really one for any occasion! Enjoy!

Jolly Santa

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SScZ5E54paI/AAAAAAAAAJw/Pey4w1hGy60/s400/DSCN1561.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5271210357220222370" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SScZ4oAOmPI/AAAAAAAAAJo/CkBJpz76Ho0/s400/DSCN1559.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5271210349462198514" />
This isn't a card--it isn't even stamped! I LOVED this idea so I decided to CASE it!
Her version uses softer colors (pinks and browns), whereas mine uses darker colors (Old Olive and Chocolate Chip)! We both used the Stampin' Up! Round Tab Punch for the tab on the card and the Buttons die cut that Stampin' Up! carries.
I used Ski Slope Designer Series Paper which can be found in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I also added some hemp to my button for a finishing touch on the button which is resting on a strip of Chocolate Chip Tafetta Ribbon. I stamped a little greeting on the card in the scallop envelope that says "Birthday hugs and wishes".

I miss you, Laura! He passed away on September 13, 2008. =o(
Together we came up with 165 cards plus envelopes that we would present to his home in his memory for the residents to use. I took pictures of the cards as well as the note that I attached. Of course tonight I was in tears as I gathered the package together--he is missed very much. I've included the frame that was in his room that shows pictures of him with my son and daughter and my nephew--his 3 grandchildren. There are also pictures of me and my mother in there as well.
Thank you again to all my wonderful Stamp Club girls! You all rock!!! I used Urban Garden and Ski Slope Designer Series Paper. The cards all follow the same layout yet use different stamps and colors. I particularly like the card that uses only the color Kiwi Kiss as the card is monochromatic and very sweet. We ran some thick glitter felt (it's hard to see how sparkly it is in the photo) along with the large snowflake die Stampin' Up! carries through the Big Shot. Then we tied some silver cord at the top to hang it from. Next, we embossed the snowman from the stamp set, Mr. Twigster (in the Holiday Mini Catalog), using a Black Craft Pad and some Clear Embossing Powder. We used a circle punch to cut him out. We punched out a larger circle out of Brushed Silver cardstock to mount him on. We attached the snowman on both sides of the ornament using glue dots. Then he was ready for the tree! You could also attach this to a present or gift bag or even insert a picture of your child or pet in the center instead of the snowman! So many possibilities!
The second project we made was a card featuring a dove and the word Peace. We used the Big Shot three times for this project--all three dies are Stampin' Up! exclusives dies! We used the Top Note die for the background, the Birds & Blooms die for the dove, and the Decorative Strip Join in the Cheer die--cutting out the word Peace only for this card. We used the Pocket Silhouettes Stamp Set to stamp the flowers at the bottom using a White craft ink pad and Baja Breeze classic ink pad. I was inspired by a card I saw on Splitcoaststampers! I love the simplicity of this card--so pretty and elegant yet so easy to create!

Gobble Gobble

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SR7mTt5fNxI/AAAAAAAAAHg/tx5F8ATOhxQ/s400/DSCN1476.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5268901840482678546" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SR7mTd3lhkI/AAAAAAAAAHY/VGvadD8lHa8/s400/DSCN1477.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5268901836179736130" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SR7mSlv-d3I/AAAAAAAAAHQ/uq8LYf1Td0Y/s400/DSCN1480.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5268901821115430770" />
These are the personalized Turkey cards I made for all my Stamp Club girlies! I made my little turkey using the scallop circle punch for the feathers and the body, and a flower punch for the waddle, beak, and feet. The card is 2" x 3" which fits perfectly in the envie! I just wanted all my girls to know how thankful I am for their friendship! =o)

Scallop Envelope Basket O' Holiday Treats!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SRiO2gp1JjI/AAAAAAAAAHI/Vsw7Y26RGNA/s400/DSCN1496.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267116831339259442" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SRiO2bR9DNI/AAAAAAAAAHA/4IzU6LVxvfQ/s400/DSCN1497.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267116829896936658" />
So, I found this really COOL thing you can do with your Big Shot Scallop Envelope Stampin' Up! exclusive die cut--whew!!! Here is a picture of what the cardboard looked like after I die cut the stars out. I also die cut the stars on Stampin' Up!'s Brushed Silver Cardstock. I took a rhinestone from the Pretties Kit and put it through the top layer of the star. I adhered the stars alternating between silver and patterned paper stars and poked a hole on top and tied some silver cord to hang it from. Pretty and easy! Oh, and on the back I wrote the year.
It was SO cold this morning that it is starting to really feel like Christmas is coming! =o)

Flower Layers

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SRUIJHzimqI/AAAAAAAAAGg/jelvYmg-b2w/s400/DSCN1485.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5266124292086733474" />
Another FUN die cut from Stampin' Up! What I LOVE about this die is that you can cut SO many different materials with it! On this card, I adhered one sheet each of patterned cardstock in Not Quite Navy and Real Red (from the Hostess Pattern Packs) to some cardboard. The flowers now have a thickness to them (especially when layered) and make the project more 3D! I used some white grosgrain ribbon layered over the opposite color cardstock to add a little accent to the card. The "Thank You" stamp is from the Stampin' Up! stamp set Enjoy Every Moment and is embossed in Winter White Embossing Powder. I love making cards with reverse colors. It is neat to see how different they can end up looking although the layout is exactly the same!

Birds & Blooms on the Big Shot

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SRUGfOOCy-I/AAAAAAAAAGY/GyOL7XGyotw/s400/DSCN1492.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5266122472742374370" />
I LOVE my Big Shot. I love it SOOOOOO much!!! =o) Seriously though, this machine ROCKS!
I CASED this card off of something I saw on Splitcoaststampers, and I have to say that this card made me fall in love with my machine even more. I used the Top Note Die (again!!!), and the flowers are from Birds & Blooms (both Stampin' Up! exclusive dies). The colors I used were Pink Passion, Yoyo Yellow, Lovely Lilac (this flower actually appears dark blue in the photo), Tempting Turquoise, and Gable Green. We always make two projects. We used Stampin' Up!'s Cheers to You set and I created an "olive" using punches and a toothpick! The cardstock used was Real Red and Old Olive. We adhered it onto the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. The other card was made with my man, Mr. Twigster. The image is actually stamped in Chocolate Chip and the cardstock that the patterned paper (Ski Slope) is mounted on is Chocolate Chip as well--although they both appear black thanks to my camera. Baja Breeze was used as the background color.

Holiday Greetings Basket

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SRL_Ng69YVI/AAAAAAAAAFw/JpuGi6ROj4Y/s400/DSCN1398.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265551521990140242" />
Once again, my new Big Shot die cut machine is at work! I LOVE this Designer Series Paper, Ski Slope. I used the Stampin' Up! Baskets & Blooms exclusive die and created this sweet little holiday basket which I filled with candy canes! I think the flower is my favorite part. I used the opposite side of the same patterned paper as the basket, adhered it to cardboard, then ran it through the die cut machine, so it is relatively thick. Then I popped an eyelet in the middle and tied it to the card with some ribbon. So fun and so easy!

Happy Halloween!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SRJ4x51AjbI/AAAAAAAAAFo/44QERz6-I8w/s400/DSCN1396.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265403713081609650" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SRJ4xkAHC5I/AAAAAAAAAFg/6o4O00VEWqA/s400/DSCN1397.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265403707222592402" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SRJ4xOs_feI/AAAAAAAAAFY/h-YWn6nSHhE/s400/DSCN1473.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265403701505261026" />
I made a ton of hand stamped lollipops (thanks to Dawn for letting me borrow the stamp set Batty For You and for the idea!) for Alexa's classroom's goody bags! I added some Chocolate Chip tafetta ribbon and a Baja Breeze Button threaded with hemp to complete the card.

Love Love Love my Designer Series Paper!

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_A7S4mbl28kU/SRJfwOHVFWI/AAAAAAAAADg/c2XH-EIXy2o/s400/DSCN1144.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265376196376728930" />
LOVE my Urban Garden Designer Series Paper!!! Seriously, I think it is one of my favorite stamp sets--so ridiculously cute! Anyway, I wanted to show Chase growing up, so I stamped him going from a baby to a little toddler. The background is Certainly Celery cardstock and the scalloped circles are punched out of Bashful Blue cardstock. I cut out a balloon and mouth with Real Red cardstock and adhered them on the card and added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the top of the monkey's birthday hat.
