Thinking of You

I haven't stamped much in these last few days with the holidays being here and all. In fact, it was very strange not having my Father here to celebrate with us. We started a new tradition this year--we wrote down the things we are thankful for and put them in a Blessings Jar. After dinner, we went around the table reading what everyone wrote. One that I wrote said, "I am thankful for memories of my Dad." That is definitely the truth...

Anyway, I made this card to send to my brother, Dean, who lives in Salem, MA. I wanted him to know that I was thinking of him as I know this is a hard time for him as well. I am truly hoping he makes it down to celebrate the holidays with us this month. I would love for us to be together as a family again. Seeing him in September was wonderful (although the circumstances for him being here obviously were not).

As for the card, I just can't seem to get ENOUGH of this Top Note die cut!!! I LOVE it! I used Urban Garden designer series paper, and since I didn't have matching ribbon, I layered some Kiwi Kiss cardstock underneath some sheer thin white organdy ribbon to add a soft touch (which is difficult to see although you can see it better if you click on it to enlarge it). I rounded the corners on the greeting (from Sincere Salutations) to soften it up and match it to the die cut.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Never forget to count your blessings.
